From the morning of 24 December until the evening of 1 January, parking in Budapest will be free. This means that you will not have to pay for parking in most areas of the city during this time.
There are certain exceptions to the free parking rule. In the 1st district of Budapest, you will still have to pay for parking on Dísz Square, the Hunyadi János Street between Szabó Ilonka Street and Dísz Square, and Palota Street between Dísz Square and Lovas Street. Additionally, parking will be charged at the Northern parking lot of Margaret Island and the parking places of the hotels there.
In Pécs, parking will also be free between the two holidays. From 1 pm on 23 December until 8 am on 2 January, you will not have to pay for parking in the city.
